Down to our WorkLane

Well, it’s been 4 years since we started on our journey. We’ve always been in this together. Starting with a very few members, over the years, this family of ours has turned out to be a family of 65+ members. We are sworn to reach out to the deprived future generation of our society and to be there when they need us. We’ve recently celebrated our 4th birth anniversary on 1st May 2022 by organizing the very first blood donation camp of our history and thus becoming blood-sworn to this society. We urge you all to come forward in our support and promise everyone to keep up what we do the best.

In the later stage of 2019, when Uran started his journey again, the covid epidemic hit all over the world. In this situation, Uran family members came to the side of people in different ways. We all know about the covid pandemic. The goverment decided to lock down the entire country to prevent the spread of the disease, but in this situation, the economic condition of people was disturbed. So, as soon as the lockdown was relaxed, we handed over daily essential ration to 55 people near Belgharia station on 3 June 2020.After this, a natural disaster called AMPHAN caused a lot of damage to the area adjacent to the Bay of Bengal. So, on 9 August 2020, we handed over the daily necessary ration to 200 people in Sundarbans and also arranged free medical checkup there. Like previous years, During the Durga puja we went back to “The refugee” orphanage, where 25 children were given new clothes and food packets were handed out to 125 people living on the streets in Kolkata and its surrounding areas.Next year on Netaji’s birthday, Blankets were distributed to 30 children and various competitions were organized in the Siyakhala area of Hooghly. On 10 January 2021, Mrs. Rupa Ghosh gave food packets to 50 children under the Garia Bridge in memory of her mother with the help of Uran Welfare Society. We all dream in a hope to get it fulfilled successfully one day. And dreams vary from person to person. Someone might dream to get a job with a handsome salary, or maybe build a house. While on an another hand someone might dream only two meals a day, some better clothes, a little education. Uran was born to fulfill this type of dreams. Although the journey began on May 1, but the first step was taken on October, 2018, during Puja. The smile on the child’s face at the time of Durga puja made Uran’s first flight bright and memorable.
